PURPOSE:To enhance the filtration efficiency, to operate continuously and to treat in large quantities with a miniature device by compressing a substance to be filtered while exerting high pressure on the substance. CONSTITUTION:A substance to be filtered is introduced into each compartment 2 of a filtration chamber 18 along with the rotation of a drum 1, the substance to be filtered is compressed by feeding under pressure a fluid into a pressure chamber 21, the formed cake is discharged and filtration is continuously carried out in this way. In the compression stage, the substance to be filtered is compressed through a pressure membrane 16 by forcing a fluid into the pressure chamber 21 provided in the compartment 2 to compress the substance to be filtered in the filtration chamber 18. The liq. separated from the substance to be filtered by compression is passed through a filter cloth belt 7 and a filter cloth membrane 17 and discharged. Meanwhile, the cake is discharged at the unclosed part 19 of an opening 6. |
