<p>A sugar digestion-restraining agent comprising a combination of α-glucosidase inhibitor and non-pathogenic lactic acid-yielding bacteria, and a sugar digestion-restraining composition containing them. This agent or composition enables to conduct prophylaxis or treatment of diabetes or corpulence without diet by oral administration to men or animals. Upon application, side effects such as diarrhoea usually observed by independent application of the α-glucosidase inhibitor are not caused.</p> |
