PURPOSE:To obtain a coated carrier capable of forming a developer good in fluidity of powder, superior in development durability, by coating the surface of the carrier with a specified copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the carrier is coated with a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and tetrafluoroethylene. The obtained coated carrier is easy to control charge, and so it is usable for any toner. It has high mechanical strength against rubbing, excellent resistance to development. Powder fluidity is raised by the surface smoothness of the carrier remarkably enhanced, and melt attaching to a photosentive drum is prevented, contributing also to enhancement of the development durability. |
