PURPOSE:To prevent fogging from occurring in transfer recording, by constituting a liquid solvent material of a mixed material of a main solvent material having a high thermal dissolving power for at least one of constituents of a recording material and an auxiliary solvent material having a low corresponding dissolving power. CONSTITUTION:With a solvent material 200 and a recording material 120 appropriately selected, the recording material 120 is dissolved in the solvent material 200 at a press recording part 220 in a concentration according to the thermal recording temperature of a recording head 403 to form a thermally dissolved recording material 130, and images 140 are thermal transfer recorded on the surface of a recording medium 301. In the case of a transfer material 100 in which a recording material 120 comprising nitrocellulose as a main binder component and a black gravure ink is provided on a base 110, a solvent material is constituted of a mixture of a main solvent consisting of a ketone solution or the like which sufficiently dissolves the nitrocellulose binder and an auxiliary solvent, such as a solution of an aromatic hydrocarbon, which substantially does not dissolve the binder. Accordingly, fogging can be prevented from occurring in transfer recording, and thermal dissolution transfer recording can be performed with high density, speed and sensitivity according to the thermal recording temperature. |
