TONER FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE

PURPOSE:To form a developer which has the stable quantity of frictional electrostatic charge, is sharply and uniformly distributed with the quantity of frictional electrostatic charge and can be controlled to the quantity of electrostatic charge suitable for the developing system to be used by incorporating a specific 2- aminobenzthiazole into a titled toner. CONSTITUTION:This toner contains the 2-aminobenzthiazole expressed by the formula [I]. The 2-aminobenzthiazole is stable with heat and time, has low hygroscopicity and is a good quality electrostatic charge controlling agent which provides a developer having an excellent electrophotographic characteristic when incorporated into the developer. The representative embodiment of the 2-aminobenzthiazole includes the formula (1). The above-mentioned compd. is preferably used for the prepn. of the toner in the form of the average grain size ranging particularly 5-0.1mu. The amt. of the above-mentioned compd. to be used is preferably 0.5-10pts.wt. by 100pts.wt. resin binder in under pts.wt. and is preferably 0.01-10pts.wt. in outer pts.wt in the case of adding paid compd. to the developer.
