PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity of a photosensitive body by forming an electrostatic charge generating layer contg. a specified disazo pigment on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer contains the disazo compd. represented by formula I in which R<1>, R<2> are each H, carboxy, or cyano, and not simultaneously H, Ar<1>, Ar<2> are each phenylene, and A is a coupler residue, such as a group of phenol, naphthol, aromatic amino, aminonaphthol, aliphatic or aromatic phenolic ketone, exemplified by formula II. A sharp transferred image can be obtained by laminating on the conductive substrate the charge generating layer contg. this disazo pigment and a charge transfer layer on this layer to form the electrophotographic sensitive body. |
