PURPOSE:To form a power converter in small size and capacity by providing a programmable gain amplifier, and suppressing the peak of a current flowed to a power converter at accelerating or decelerating time. CONSTITUTION:If the peak of a current command value (c) output from a current regular 2 increases at the accelerating or decelerating time of an AC motor 8 and the state that a current larger than the capacity is applied to a power converter of an inverter 5 arises, the peak is reduced by a porgrammable gain amplifier 13 to the value for generating a motor drive current lower than the capacity of the power converter, thereby variable controlling the speed without exceeding the current capacity of the power converter of the inverter. |
