PURPOSE:To reduce abrasion of dot pins, by using an organic pigment as a coloring agent in a liquid ink with which a base fabric is impregnated. CONSTITUTION:The base fabric is formed from polyamide fibers or polyester fibers, and the liquid ink comprises a coloring agent dispersely mixed in a vehicle comprising a nondrying oil as a main constituent. The oil is a mineral oil, a vegetable oil, an animal oil or the like, while the coloring agent is an organic pigment based on aniline, cyanine, azo, phthalocyanine, azine or the like, at least one of which is used singly or in combination. When this ink ribbon is used, an effect of markedly reducing abrasion of dot pins is obtained, for dot pins formed of an iron-based material such as high-speed steel, piano wire and stainless steel, tungsten, super hard metal alloy or the like. |
