PURPOSE:To provide a stable oscillating heater having an oscillation drive unit therein by installing a supporting structure which holds at both ends an oblong box-like case having quartz tube heater units therein and oscillating freely. CONSTITUTION:An oblong box-like case 1 having an opening at the front includes longitudinal quartz tube heater units 2, 3 therein, and at the upper part of the case 1, an upper grille 6 supporting the case oscillating freely is installed and a supporting rode 13 is fixed to the back of the upper grille 6 and the other end of the supporting rode 13 is connected to a stand. At the bottom part of the case 1, an oscillation drive unit which oscillates the case 1 right and left is buried. When the case is oscillated right and left by the oscillation drive unit, torsion and sway of the case 1 are small because the case is supported by both ends of the structure via the supporting rode 13 and therefore, stable and smooth oscillating motion is obtained.
