PURPOSE:To obtain always a stable thermal electro-motive force and secure safety regardless of the variation in throttling by forming integrally a pilot flame gas supply pipe and a main gas supply pipe and providing a flame detector opposite to the outlet section of a flame hole passage which is provided in the pilot flame gas supply tube. CONSTITUTION:A heater burner consists of a main gas supply tube 3 and a burner body 5 which has a pilot flame gas supply pipe 4, and a burner cap 8 which has many tooth sections 7 provided freely removably in the opening in the upper face 6 of the burner body 5. The space formed with the tooth section 7 and the upper face 6 is made a flame hole passage 9, and its upstream side is opened in the inside of the burner body 5 and flame holes 10 are constituted with the downstream side as the opening for outlet from the flame hole passage 9. The pilot flame gas supply tube 4 is formed in the burner body 5 as one body with the main gas supply tube 3 and a flame detection device 19 is provided opposite to the flame hole passage 18 for a pilot flame and the pilot flame gas supply tube 4 and the main gas supply tube 3 are formed integrally in parallel. When throttling the amount of combustion supplied to the main gas supply tubes, the amount of combustion in the flame hole passage 9 is throttled but the amount of combustion in the flame hole passage 18 for flame pilotting does not change. Accordingly the pilot flame can be maintained safely regardless of the throttling.
