PURPOSE:To prevent the side slipping of the peripheral edge part of a plate material and to increase the processing performance and reliability by performing a drawing by holding with a side movement preventing means the center part of the plate material under drawing. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed fluid pressure is fed into a hydraulic cylinder 13 and the lower end of a rod 14 is brought into contact with the above of the plate material a prior to drawing the plate material a inside a female hole 3a by feeding a pressure water into the female hole 3a from the flow-in hole 5 of a bed 1. The center part of the plate material a comes into contact with the lower end of the rod 14 and the side movement of the plate material a is checked by the contact friction thereof in case of the plate material a being subjected to a drawing by its ascent inside the female hole 3a by the hydraulic pressure. The side slipping of the peripheral edge part, i.e. pinching part of the plate material a is prevented as well, the rod 14 is slided and retreated to the upper part against the fluid pressure via the plate material a by the hydraulic pressure fed from the flow-in hole 5 and the plate material a is subjected to a drawing by the hydraulic pressure inside the female hole 3a.
