PURPOSE:To make positioning of a shadow mask sure by providing an auxiliary support having elasticity between a mask frame supporting a shadow mask and a frame support engaged with a panel pin. CONSTITUTION:A shadow mask 3 supported by a mask frame 4 is arranged close to a fluorescent screen 2 provided on the innerface of a panel 1 for forming a color picture tube. Thereby, an opening part 4a is formed on the side wall 41 of the mask frame 4, while providing an auxiliary support 11 consisting of an elastic metal piece, whose one end part is hooked on the innerface of the side wall 41 through said opening part 4a and the other end part is hooked on a panel pin 7 through a hooking hole part 11. When forming the fluorescent screen 2, only the frame support 5 is used followed by inserting the auxiliary support 11 to be fixed. Accordingly, even when external force is applied, coordination of the through hole of the shadow mask 3 and the fluorescent screen 2 can be held thus obtaining a good image. |
