Catamaran of the watercraft type comprising essentially two floats and one platform, said catamaran being more particularly intended to the navigation of the ''sail board'' type. Said floats (1, 2) and said platform (11) are interconnected by means of ring-shaped straps (9, 10), the rings being independent from the floats. Furthermore, each float may be inflated with air through valves (7, 8). The platform is fitted with a centre board (18) and comprises a support (16) intended to receive a mast heel. Finally, an aileron (13) may be provided at the rear of the catamaran, said aileron being held in place by means of a strap (12). In the catamaran according to the invention, the two floats are backed against each other. Due to this arrangement, the platform is considerably simplified and reduced in weight, and it is further possible to provide additional direct connections (19, 20) between the two floats.
