Reinforced wooden closure, for example shutter or door, composed mainly of a plurality of wooden slats 1 joined side by side in succession, characterised in that the leaf or each leaf of the said wooden closure comprises a metal frame 5, 6 placed inside the said leaf, between the inner and outer large faces of the latter; this inner metal frame comprising, on the one hand, a plurality of spaced-out metal uprights 5, accommodated in longitudinal grooves 1a with which are provided the contiguous sides or edges of the said wooden slats, and, on the other hand,a plurality of spaced-out crosspieces 6 accommodated in bores 1b, 5a provided in the said wooden slats 1 and in the uprights 5 of the said frame. <IMAGE>
