This method of making a relief image representing an object, from a two-dimensional image representing, in particular, a front view of the object, is characterised in that those parts not initially shown on the two-dimensional image of the sides of the object are reproduced on the contours of this image, and in that the resulting image is deformed with the aid of a mould carrying a relief which it is desired to give to the object. <IMAGE>
