PURPOSE:To enable minimization of clean water consumption and energy cost and process the surface while stably maintaining and running the web by arranging a backup plate having slits in close proximity of the metal web, injecting a liquid from the slits and supporting the metal web with the backup plate and the injected liquid. CONSTITUTION:Aluminium web 1 with the end surface roughed in the first processing section is supported by a drum roll 2, and then is subjected to the surface roughing process through the blowing of slurry from a spray nozzle 3 to the middle of the aluminium web 1 with a high-pressure water. The Al end is supported by a backup plate 5, 6, 7 and its surface is roughened by a nozzle 4. The backup plate is supported by a pedestal 9 and is constituted so that it may continuously move along the end of the Al web. In addition, the nozzle 4 is upheld by a pedestal 10 and can be moved in accordance with the varying Al width. |
