PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture of a base ensuring perfect fitting thereof with a plate for fixing and fitting a bush to a prescribed position of the base, by a method wherein when fixing a base with a recording head mounted thereon and a main body, the base is positioned and fixed by fitting fixing pins into position-adjustable fixing holes and using an adhesive filler through a mount plate provided with the fixing holes corresponding to a main body mounting position. CONSTITUTION:In a base plate 4, a fixing jig 20 and the mount plate 5, holes 26, 23 provided in the fixing jig 20 are used with pins 15, 16, 17 to position the plates 5, 4 in the vertical direction, a hole 26 and a hole 21 provided in the mount plate 5 are used with the pin 16 to position the plate 5 and the jig 20, and a pin 16 tentatively placed in a hole 23 is fixed to the plate 5 by the adhesive filler 19. Simultaneously, the pin 15 tentatively disposed with an upper part of a hole 23 as a guide is fitted in a hole 25 of the base plate 4 through a bush 18, a prescribed length M between a printing element 2 and the pin 16 is measured by a length-measuring instrument, and then the adhesive filler 19 is placed between the hole 25 and the bush 18 to fix the bush 18. The other end is fixed in the same manner. |
