PURPOSE:To always realize a two stage combustion and make a low NOx by a method wherein a secondary air corresponding to a combustion amount is supplied through auxiliary flame holes and secondary flame holes. CONSTITUTION:Combustible gas is formed as a primary flame under a maximum combustion condition corresponding to the primary air volume on primary flame holes 12 and non-ignited gas is passed through the auxiliary flame holes 14, thereafter expanded in a primary combustion chamber 16 so as to restrict a secondary air flowing from the secondary flame holes 15, diffused with the secondary air over the secondary flame holes 15 so as to form the secondary flame. A restriction of NOx can be carried out under a combustion of excessive by rich combustion with the primary flame and a relative fast combustion of the secondary flame. Under a condition of throttled combustion volume, the volume of non-combusted gas is decreased, so that the secondary air flowed from the secondary flame holes 15 into the primary combustion chamber 16 can be restricted, the non-combusted gas forms the secondary flame above the auxiliary flame holes 14, a positive two-stage combustion is realized and then a low NOx can be attained.
