PURPOSE:To reduce electric power consumption and to prevent the outbreak of a fire by incorporating a phosphoric acid diluted with a non-combustible liquid as an activating agent into a titled flux and adding further a compatible liquid agent which improves solderability or the wet spreading speed of solder thereto. CONSTITUTION:The phosphoric acid is diluted with the liquid of tricresyl phosphate which has incombustibility and does not decrease the soldering effect of the phosphoric acid is incorporated as the activating agent into the flux. Rosin or phenolic resin-modified rosin which has compatibility and improves solderability or 2, 3 dibrompropanol or the like which increases the wet spreading speed of the solder is added thereto to form the flux. Since the phosphoric acid is diluted by the non-combustible liquid, the uniform heating is made possible while the flux is heated to 100-150 deg.C and is coated on a base plate. The economization of electric power and the prevention of the outbreak of the fire are made possible.
