NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I and formula II (termed compound T-23-X and compound-T-23-XI). USE:An antitumor agent. PREPARATION:Streptomyces rishiriensis T-23 strain (FERM P6141) is cultivated by a cultivated by a culture method of common Actinomyces, an active fraction which is obtained when compounds shown by the formulas III and IV from the culture mixture by a conventional procedure and precipitated with an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent is adsorbed on a column packed with silica gel, washed with chloroform and eluted with chloroform-methanol (100:1). Then, the eluate is fractionated into fractions with fixed amounts, each fraction is subjected to silica gel thin-layer chromatography, developed with dichloromethane- methanol (15:1), 1 substance having 0.32 Rf and a substance having 0.50 Rf are eluted with chloroform-methanol (10:1) to give the compounds shown by the formula I-formula II. |
