PURPOSE:To stabilize development processing and to render exchange of the developing soln. unnecessary by feeding a fresh nonused alkaline developing soln. to each photosensitive lithographic plate (PS plate) conveyed to a development processing section to give a development accelerating effect. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive resin layer formed on an aluminum plate or the like is exposed to form a dotted image as a PS plate P, and it is conveyed to a developing section with conveying rollers 1-3, and the fresh nonused developing soln. is fed with a pump 8 from a developing soln. tank 7 through a developing soln. pipe 5 to each of the plate P on a guide section 4. At that time, the surface of the plate is rubbed with a rubbing member 6, such as a nylon brush to accelerate development. After the development, the plate is washed with water fed with a pump 13 through a shower pipe 11, and the used developing soln. is drained from a receiving tray 10. As the developing soln., aq. solns. of sodium silicate, etc., are used, and since the plate is processed with the fresh developing soln., high quality plates can be stably obtained without requiring exchange of the developing soln., and operation efficiency can be enhanced. |
