PURPOSE:To remove stably and highly efficiently BOD components, nitrogen and phosphorus in waste water by separating the nitration function in the conventional aerobic vessel, providing a nitration vessel at the succeeding stage and independently carrying out nitration in the nitration vessel. CONSTITUTION:An anaerobic vessel 8, a denitrification vessel 9, an oxidation vessel 10, the first precipitator 11, a nitration vessel 12 and the second precipitator 13 are respectively provided. Org. waste water and the first return sludge obtained from the vessel 11 are firstly charged into the vessel 8 and anaerobic treatment is carried out. The sludge-mixed water and a part of the supernatant water in the vessel 13 are supplied into the vessel 9 and denitrification is carried out. The sludge-mixed water is charged into the vessel 10 and the BOD components are oxidized. The sludge-mixed water is introduced into the vessel 11 and solid is separated from liq. A part of separated sludge is used as the first return sludge. The remaining sludge is taken out to the outside of the system. The separated supernatant water and the second return sludge obtained from the vessel 13 are sent to the vessel 12 and nitration is carried out. The sludge-mixed water is supplied to the vessel 13, solid is separated from liq. and a part of the separated supernatant water is sent to the vessel 9.
