The method comprises grinding electrum-containing ore to fine particles, passing them through a high-gradient magnetic separator which comprises an air-core magnetic field filled with a matrix element, and recovering the electrum as magnetics. The method achieves high electrum recovery percentage and high gold or silver content in the electrum concentrate.</p> |
