PURPOSE:To make a printing part easy to observe visually by enlarging the direct viewing angle thereof, by holding a cup wheel so as to provide the predetermined angle of inclination with respect to the perpendicular crossing the shaft of a platen at right angles and holding a ribbon cassette with the predetermined angle of inclination with respect to the center line of the cup wheel. CONSTITUTION:When printing order is a large character, a current is supplied to a coil 5 and an iron core 13 is attracted to a rotor 15 against the energizing force of a compression spring 14 to shift up a cup wheel 1 and the rotary force of a wheel motor 27 is transmitted to the cup wheel 1 through a wheel driving gear 28 to allow the corresponding type element 6 of the cup wheel 1 to oppose to a hammer 3. In this state, a current is supplied to a hammer solenoid 2 to impinge the type of the cup wheel 1 to printing paper 20 by the hammer 3 through a printing ribbon 29. After printing operation was finished, a carriage is transferred to the righthand direction by one pitch by a separately provided drive means such as a motor to set the stand-by state of the next printing order. |
