Substd. imidazoles(I and II) and their acid-addn. salts are new. R1 is H, C1-4 alkyl or hydroxymethyl; R2 is H or Me; R3 is Me, Et, n or iso-propyl, n-butyl, allyl or (III); R4 is H or OH, or R3 and R4 together are methylene, ethylidene, propylidene, isopropylidene or butyidene, R5, R6 and R7 are each independently H, Me, Et, halogen, OH or methoxy or two of them together are methylenedioxy on adjacent C stoms and the other is H. (I) and (II) are useful as antihypertensive, antithombotic, antimycotic and antifungal agents.
