The present invention relates to an extracting device for articles made of delicate and/or crumbly material, such as seedlings comprising crumbly lumps of earth, held in cells constituted by holes pierced right through in a plate forming a support. This device is characterised in that each push rod 5 is extended at its end by at least one thin pin 8 which extends essentially longitudinally and is intended to engage in the inside of the article, before the front face 5a of the push rod comes into contact with the facing face of the article, so that each article 1, disengaged from its cell 3, is held in position on the end of the push rod 5, as a result of the penetration of the pin 8 of the latter inside the article 1. <IMAGE>
