The element is for selective complete or partial freeing or blocking of air flow conduits, esp. for heating- and air-conditioning systems of vehicles. It has a roller shutter (3), with a band, divided into open-worked or closed sections. The band extends at right angles to one or more flow paths (4,5,6), and is wound on rollers (7,8), on the side of a flow path. At least one of the rollers has electric motor control, while another roller has a spring drive. The band has guides (9,10) in the area between the rollers and reinforcing webs.
