In an integrated process for the prepn. of tert. Bu alkyl ethers and butene-1 from a butadiene-free (4 hydrocarbon rxn. mixt. opt. contg. C3 and C5 components and other non-hydrocarbon components, the rxn. mixt. is charged to catalyst-filled zone in which the isobutene, present in rxn. mixt. is reacted with an aliphatic alcohol to form the desired tert. butyl alkyl ether. |
