PURPOSE:To couples plural cores optically without requiring any complicate motion by allowing the section of the distribution state of signal light which is transmitted through plural fibers to have a concentric pattern at the mutual rotation part of an optical rotary connector. CONSTITUTION:Signal light transmitted through an optical fiber 1 is diffused in a rod lens 3 by a specific extent as shown by 1a to become parallel light at lest when reaching a mutual rotation surface A-A, and the light is incident on a rod lens 3', converged on one point, and transmitted through an optical fiber 1'. Signal light transmitted through an optical fiber 2, on the other hand, is projected from the optical fiber 2 in the mutual rotation surface A-A and then transmitted through an optical fiber 2'. In this state, even if the lenses 3 and 3' rotate mutually in the mutual rotation surface A-A around the optical axis of the rod lenses 3 and 3', the two light signals 1a and 2a are distributed concentrically and rotate around the center of the signal light 2a, so the optical coupling between both lenses 3 and 3' is maintained continuously. |
