Method and device for automatic electrode wire introduction on an electroerosion cutting-out machine, in which a solid covering is shaped on the end to be introduced of an electrode wire (2) with the aid of a shaping unit (3), and the end to be introduced is arranged along the inlet opening of a workpiece (1) and forcibly introduced into the latter by means of a supply device (5) arranged in front of the workpiece (1), a draw-through device (7) for the electrode wire (2) lying behind the workpiece (1).
