AIR CONDITIONER FRONT PANEL DESIGN

An air conditioning unit is disclosed that includes a front portion providing air inlet and air outlet passageways. The front portion has a first height. A front panel provides one of the air inlet and outlet passageways, and the front panel having a second height at least substantially the same as the first height. A louver provides the other of the air inlet and outlet passageways, and the louver has a third height at least substantially the same as the first height. The louver is pivotally supported by the frame provided at the front portion and is configured to rotated relative thereto between open and closed positions. The louver is in fluid communication with the air outlet passageway and includes a cover providing an aesthetic surface configured to face outward from front portion in the closed position. The open position exposes substantially more of the air passageway than in the closed position.
