PURPOSE:To minimize heat radiation relative to the length of a fitting stroke for positioning by providing groove portions at the inserted position of a sub- combustion chamber and a cylinder head where the sub-combustion chamber is inserted into a hole for carrying the cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:A sub-combustion chamber 3 is inserted into a hole 2 for carrying a cylinder head 1. In this case, a metal ring 10 having a groove portions 9 made of steel is shrinkingly fitted into an outer circumferential bottom of a ceramic base 4 having a injection hole 5 an the base is inserted into a cylinder head 1 under pressure. With such a condition, the groove portions 9 permit heat radiation to minimize relative to the length of a fitting stroke with a result that overhaul is easy due to reduced contact resistance and an effect caused by the thermal deformation of the cylinder head 1 can be minimized. In addition, the construction is such that ceramics can be directly inserted into the cylinder head 1 under pressure due to the groove portions 9 serving as resesses. |
