PURPOSE:To make transcription so as to be applied to a proper position of a sheet, by moving only a regulating plate at one side as far as the specified width but at more than the specified width, moving regulating plates at both sides the other way, in case of a sheet loading device which regulates the sheet position with a pair of regulating plates. CONSTITUTION:Leg parts 23 and 24 installed in a lower end of regulating plates 21 and 22 of a sheet loading device are slidden inside a sliding hole 2b installed sidewise in a bottom part 2a of a cassette 2, whereby a pair of these of regulating plates 21 and 22 are parallel moved by a parallel link mechanism connecting these leg parts 23 and 24. Therefore, when an operating knob 33 of an operation member 30 is in an A point, these regulating plates 21 and 22 are locked so as to hold an A4 size sheet layer in between. And, when a B5 size sheet is loaded, if the operating knob 33 is pulled down toward a terminal part 37 of a circular part 36 so as to be situated in a B point, by way of example, the regulating plate 21 is checked by stoppers 2d and 2d' so that the regulating plate 22 is drawn nearer by a link 32. In case of a B4 size sheet, when the operating knob 33 is moved to a C point, these regulating plates 21 and 22 both are moved in a width direction.
