PURPOSE:To obtain an amorphous electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and S/N ratio and suitable for a high speed printer by using a high-resistance carrier generating layer as a collector region, providing a base region and an emitter region for a junction type transistor to give a photocurrent amplifying function. CONSTITUTION:The emitter layer E made of amorphous Si1-xCx:H, (x=0.4-0.6), the base layer B made of Si1-xCx:H (x=0.2-0.4), and the collector layers C composed of the carrier generating layer (i) made of Si1-xCx:H, and a high- resistance pressure resistant layer VH made of Si1-xCx:H (x=0.2-0.4), and a surface protective layer SG are formed in this order on a conductive substrate S, thus permitting the obtained amorphous electrophotographic sensitive body to be enhanced in durability, sensitivity, and photoresponsivity by forming the regions C, E, B and giving a photocurrent amplifying function. |
