PURPOSE:To reduce the magnetization of a recording and playback head by providing a recording and playback control circuit with a circuit which flows an alternating attenuation current at the final stage of recording. CONSTITUTION:In-core magnetization occurs in the core of a read/write head (R/W head) 2 as long as the final current of a recording current is turned on and off. For the purpose, the alternating attenuation current generating circuit 5-1 flows the alternating attenuation current at the final stage of recording to control the core of the R/W head 2 so that its magnetization level converges on zero, thereby preventing the magnetization is the R/W head core. Namely, the alternating attenuation current is flowed in the state of recording to vary the magnetization level of the R/W head core in the order of (1), (2), (3)...(12) and converges it to the zero level. Thus, a device which reduces the magnetization of the recording and playback head 2 is obtained. |
