PURPOSE:To prepare machine parts made of diamond having high adhesion to coating film and high abrasion resistance being suitable for video disk player, etc. by forming at least >=3 odd number of electroconductive film layer on at least a part of the surface of diamond. CONSTITUTION:Target diamond parts are prepd. by forming electroconductive coating film 6 comprising above 3 odd number of layer to 0.05-0.5mum thickness by sputtering, etc. on at least a part of the surface of diamond base bodies. Preferred specific example for the constitution of the above 3 odd number of electroconductive coating film layer is of such constitution wherein a boundary layer between a diamond base body and an outermost layer are constituted of a superhard semiconductive material such as B, BN, B4C, Si, SiC, etc. and an intermediate layer is constituted of an electroconductive metal such as Ti, Ta, Nb, Hf, W, Zr, Cr, Ni, etc., or an intermediate layer is constituted of alternately formed electroconductive metal layers superhard semiconductive material layers.
