PURPOSE:To make possible to completely automatize the stem press-fit working, by detecting the fitting and separation of a stem to and from a stem press-fit cylinder in accordance with the opening and closing of a jet port due to the fitting and separation of the stem into and from a recess groove. CONSTITUTION:A holding cylinder 31 has a ring-like recess groove 34 for holding a stem at its front end, and a press-fit cylinder 27 is fitted on a columnar body 30. Further, a head section 22 supports the press-fit cylinder 27, slidably and swingably. A jet port 35 is formed in the front end section of the holding cylinder 31, and jets air into a ring-like recess groove 34. Further, a seal member 40 is composed of a resilient member inserted in the recess groove 34, and is made into close contact with a stem held in the recess groove 34. Accordingly, it is possible to detect the fitting and separation of the stem into the cylinder 27 may be detected.
