PURPOSE:To correctly detect the center position of a through hole, previously provided in a core material, by an electrostatic capacity sensor, scanning the surface of a substrate, and a hole position detecting decision part through an output of the sensor, in the case of a hole position detector in the multi layer printed substrate. CONSTITUTION:A sensor electrode part 7a is connected with a pulse oscillator 7b and an amplifier 7f, and the sensor electrode part 7a, arranging an electrode 7d in one side of a dielectric 7c while juxtaposing electrodes 7e, 7e' in the opposite side, forms a predetermined electrostatic capacity. This sensor electrode part 7a, being approximated to or brought into contact with the surface of a printed substrate 4, scans the surface in XY directions. Here the voltage, generated in the electrode 7e', changes in accordance with an electrostatic capacity in the position of a through hole 5. In this way, a detector determining a center position coordinate point of the through hole 5 by a differently connected decision part 8 while deciding a drilled position by separately provided driving circuits 12, 13, performs drilling. Thus the center position of the through hole 5 is correctly detected with no destruction. |
