The electromagnetic deflection unit according to the invention has a conical coil holder (26) of synthetic material which is provided at its wide end with a flange (28). The coil holder (26) carries deflection coils (27) and a conical ring (29) of soft magnetic material. The ring (29)is enclosed at its both ends in a moulded-on ring (30) of synthetic material provided with laterally extending projections (31). On these projections (31) the step of securing the conical ring (29) to the flange (28) of the coil holder (26) in aligned position with respect to the coils (27) is carried out.
