PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency and accuracy in a position setting by storing a position setting value of an inductor by providing a memory device and by performing the position control of an inductor based on the set value thereof. CONSTITUTION:A memory device 32 and arithmetic command device 33 are arranged and the kind of steel Z of rolling stock, width W and thickness H are inputted to the device 33 from a setter 31. The arithmetic command device 33 extracts the inductor gap Wd, Gap, G, profiling start point Lx and completion point Ly from the table of the inductor position set value stored in the memory device 32 based on the inputs Z, W, H and sets with inputting into the driving control device 3. In this case the timing for setting is taken as when the tip of the rolling stock reaches the metal detector of the outlet side of rough rolling mill. The truck (driving mechanism) 13 and the driving mechanism 12 of the inductor 11 are controlled with this method. The position setting of the inductor 11 is automated and the efficiency and accuracy in the setting are increased. |
