PURPOSE:To aim at miniaturising a hydraulic pressure control device for an antiskid device, and as well at making the same lightweight, by providing two hydraulic pressure control valves in an X-type pipe line system so that the valves are controlled in accordance with the result of evaluation of the skid conditions of front and rear wheels. CONSTITUTION:A first hydraulic pressure control valve 4a is disposed in a pipe line 5 between a first hydraulic pressure generating chamber in an master cylinder 1 and a wheel cylinder 7a in a front right wheel 6a, and a second hydraulic pressure control valve 4b is disposed in a pipe line 17 between a second hydraulic pressure generating chamber in the master cylinder 1 and a wheel cylinder 7b in a front left wheel 6b. Further, a control unit 31 evaluates the skid conditions of front and rear wheels in pairs, respectively, and normally, controls the hydraulic pressure control valve 4a, 4b independently from each other in accordance with the evaluation. Meanwhile, when it is evaluated that the rear wheels 11a, 11b tends to be locked, the result of the evaluation of one of the rear wheels which later exhibits the trend of lock is logically combined with the result of evaluation of the front wheel on the same side as that of the former, to control the hydraulic pressure control valves 4a, 4b.
