PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of a print terminal device by allowing both the print terminal device and a host CPU to apply registration, addition and change to a print pattern. CONSTITUTION:A printer 6 uses a character pattern stored to a character pattern storage section 5 to print data of a print data storage section 2. On the other hand, a communication processing section 1 receives all or a part of requested printed pattern from a host CPPU 8, then stores the character pattern to the storage section 5 to release the state under revision. Whether the printer 6 is operated by the command from the host CPU 8 or by the operation of an operation section (not shown) of the print terminal device side is controlled selectively by an operation management section 7.
