PURPOSE:To make the reproducibility of a schmitt trigger circuit excellent, by providing a (P) and (N) channel MOS transistors with the 1st stage CMOS type inverter between them and a transmission gate which uses outputs of the 1st and 2nd CMOS inverters as its gate input between the sources of the transistors and their power source. CONSTITUTION:When an input voltage is at '0' level, (P) channel transistors (Tr) 4 and 5 and a transmission gate 9 are conducted and, when the input voltage rises and becomes higher than the threshold voltage of an (N) channel Tr 7 thereafter, the voltage at a connecting point 12 becomes '0' in level and the voltage of another connecting point 11 gradually drops in a degree determined by the 'ON' resistances of a (P) and (N) channel transistors respectively constituting the Tr 4 and gate 9. Therefore, fluctuation of the threshold voltage of the Trs is hardly reflected on the voltage drop at the point 11.
