The subject of the present invention is a magnetoforming coil comprising turns 2 of insulated metal wire, helically wound, characterised in that it is constituted by wire of a cross-section sufficient to take the intensity of the current necessary for magnetoforming and to withstand the mechanical forces inherent to it, with a deformation of the coil but without melting. In such a coil, for which a so-called stress level T has been defined, expressed in joules/mm<4>, equal to the ratio between the energy W absorbed by the coil, in joules, and the product of the parameter II by the internal diameter D of the coil, its length L and the cross-section S of the wire which constitutes it, the said level T lying between 0.1 and 2 joules/mm<4>. <IMAGE>
