AGENT FOR SUPPRESSING DEGRANULATION OF MASTOCYTE

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide an agent for suppressing the degranulation of mastocyte, containing aloenin (a component of Aloe) as an active component, having degranulation-suppressing action to mastocyte and useful as an anti-inflammatory agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent of suppressing the degranulation of mastocyte is composed of aloenin of formula. The compound of formula can be produced by separating and purifying form a plant of Aloes genus, Liliaceae family by conventional method (e.g. solvent extraction, ion-exchange resin treatment, etc.). It has been found newly that the compound of formula has degranulation suppressing activity against mastocyte and that the compound is an anti-inflammatory component of aloe used traditionally as a medicinal herb. Aloenin can be used a s a component of an anti-inflammatory agent.
