The invention relates to a motor vehicle having a belt retracting device for a safety belt, especially the connection between the belt retracting device (1) and a body part (4). The casing (2) and the body part (4) are to have in each case at least one supporting element (8, 13; 5, 6) for this connection and the supporting elements (8, 13; 5, 6) are to rest against one another in a positive fashion in such a way that a stop and a non-positive connection are formed between the casing (2) and the body part (4), the effective direction being in the direction in which the belt (3) is pulled. As a result of this, in the event of load being exerted, for example during an accident, the tensile force exerted on the belt (3) is primarily supported by means of these stops and transmitted to the body part (4). A screw connection (11) known per se can therefore be less robust in design and thus lighter and more cost-effective. In a further development of the invention, the screw connection (11) may be omitted entirely and replaced by a clip connection, which results in further simplification and easier assembly. <IMAGE>
