<p>The present invention relates to a casing structure, especially for a lawn mower. Casing structure characterised in that it has horizontal ribs 2 extending over the entire perimeter of the casing 1, without interruption, substantially in the area of the travel of the blade, in that longitudinal vertical ribs 3, provided on either side of the casing 1, link the fixing points 4-5 of the front and rear wheels, in that the fixing of the engine block to the casing 1 is ensured by the intermediary of a ribbed ring 6 surmounting the casing 1, and in that ribs 7 extending radially from the ribbed ring 6 are linked to the longitudinal vertical ribs 3, these ribs being advantageously arranged in such a manner as to define a profile of crenellated cross section having a significant mechanical moment of inertia and thus ensuring the rigidity of the casing in bending and in torsion and its self-supporting capability, so that the elements of the casing 1 between the ribs can be in the form of a thin, less rigid envelope. <IMAGE></p> |
