<p>The invention provides a closing device having a closing part which can be fastened to a doorframe or the like and an actuating part which can be fastened to a door. The actuating part has a closing element which can be made to engage with and disengage from the closing part under the load of a spring and a handle piece which is held fast by a locking device. When the locking device has been released by actuation of a lever, the handle piece can be pivoted while being supported on the closing part in order to lever the door away from the frame, the closing element springing from the holding position into the release position. To open the door, the lock of the handle piece can also be released by means of a pusher rod from the other side of the door even when actuation of the lever is to be blocked by a lock which may be mounted on the handle piece. In the closed position, the door is pressed by the closing element, which is held in resilient engagement with the closing part, against the door frame and/or with a door seal mounted on the said door frame. …<??>The closing device is especially well suited for use on the doors of refrigerating chambers and the like.</p> |
