The object of the invention is to improve a process for the production of a pedal-cycle bottom-bracket housing made of sheet metal, in which, first of all, tubular connection parts projecting outwards and designed and arranged in shape and position to correspond to the frame tubes to be connected are integrally formed, whereupon the sheet-metal blank is formed into a tube and the abutting longitudinal edges of the tubes are connected to one another permanently. The aim is to achieve significant simplification and reduction in the cost of manufacture. To achieve this, it is proposed that cup-shaped tubular connection pieces with outward-facing bottoms be formed integrally by deep-drawing. <IMAGE>
