PURPOSE:To shorten the response time of mercury vapor pressure by winding a coil of second metal wire wound spirally around the first metal core wire spirally around the third metal wire of same material while separating from the amalgam. CONSTITUTION:In small chamber communicating with the discharge chamber of a light emission discharge tube 2, a cored coil of second metal wire 9b is wound spirally around a core wire of first metal wire to be never alloyed with amalgam at the discharge space side. The core coil is further wound spirally around the third metal wire 9c of same material. Amalgam 8 functionable as main amalgam is provided in one stem capillary 12 of the discharge tube 2 while being separated from the discharge space by means of an approximately tubular coil 9. Consequently, the response time of mercury vapor pressure can be shortened. |
